“Chain 2” is an original oil on canvas framed 230 x 290mm created by Ian Mackenzie.
 
This artwork is framed in a traditional 1.25 inch black wooden surround with a light coloured insert. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which is signed and verified by the artist.
 
 
The Story Behind "Chain 2"
 
This artwork appeared on my horizon when I started to think of the different stories that I had collected over the years. I had numerous ideas but I had not worked out how hands could represent that part of the story I wanted to tell. 
 
Therefore, I went about looking at different poses and how they would come across on canvas. I soon found that I needed to practice painting hands in particular positions. And as such, a group of small paintings I named Mini Macks as a joke, started to develop.  
 
The name stuck and this became a series of artwork within a series of artwork!!!
